Scholarships for international students

International students at ETH should seek first in their home country for financial support or scholarships to study at ETH.

Bachelorstudents are eligible after passing successfully the first year examination in all parts.

Masterstudents (without an ETH-BSc) may apply after a min of 40 ECTS in the preceding master study year.

Non-participation on examination(s) due to illness must be proofed to us with a medical certification, issued not older than one day after the planned exam.

The application window in eSTIP for international students for the academic year 2025/26 is closed. The application window for 2026/27 will be open Sep, 1 2026 to Oct, 31 2026.
