Research Support Services and Acquisitions

The Research Support Services & Acquisitions section offers tasks and services, especially for students and researchers at ETH Zurich, including:

Managing the media budget of the ETH Library
Acquiring and licensing printed and electronic media
Maintaining metadata for media and engaging with metadata management
Providing advice and support related to publishing in general and Open Access in particular
Operating the ETH Zurich publication platform, the Research Collection, the image platform E-Pics, and the DOI Desk
Supporting subject specialists responsible for selecting literature and its content indexing
Assisting ETH Zurich researchers in planning and executing research data management and managing the ETH Data Archive for research data, library content, and institutional records
Offering services and advice on bibliometrics, scientometrics, and research assessment methods, as well as supporting ETH Zurich researchers in organizing or analyzing knowledge in the form of data and research outcomes
Managing the Library Open Science Office of the ETH Library as the central unit coordinating Open Science activities and further developing them together with other sections
