Eva J. Meeus selected for the 2025 CAS Future Leaders™ program

Launched in 2010 by CAS, a branch of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the CAS Future Leaders program offers a highly sought-after opportunity for Ph.D. candidates and postdoctoral researchers in chemistry and related fields to learn leadership skills and build up a sound network. Each year, it receives hundreds of applications from across the globe, but only 4% of applicants are selected for this prestigious global program.

In 2025, 35 CAS Future Leaders from 12 countries have been selected to participate in the immersive, in-person program, among them Eva J. Meeus, a post-doctoral student at ETH Zurich. Eva J Meeus is currently working as an NWO Rubicon postdoctoral research fellow in the group of Prof. Bill Morandi at the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences.

¡°My research is devoted to the development and application of new synthetic methods for prodrug-to-drug conversions and drug development¡±, Meeus explains, ¡°being selected for the 2025 CAS Future Leaders program is a great honor, and I am grateful for this recognition.
